Cabbage

  1. I imagine that the cabbage is on a table of some sort. Why doesn't the table show up in the MRI?

    Thanks.

  2. I think it is resting on a surface that does not respond to MRI -- something to do with not having water in it.

  3. Yeah, it's probably a plastic table with no magnetic molecules.

  4. Oh, it picks up the table, but you can adjust the contrast and sensitivity of the image so that the table goes black with the air since it responds very poorly to begin with, but if you turn up the gain on the images you'll see it as a thin grey bar that never changes.

  5. This looks fun. I'm an MRI tech and this has given me some ideas. Now I know what I'm bringing to work with me on a slow day! Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. This reminds me of the laser show at Stone Mountain, as they are working up the crowd at the beginning of the performance.
