Well I have no idea what species this is. But here is what it looks like IRL.
Quite pretty.
Experimenting with thicker slices, yields cool imagery

    Hi Andy, I just found out about your site. Very cool. I started out in biology myself before shifting to art and design. Anyway, I heard that two-colored cactuses are made by grafting two different kinds together, so I Googled "grafted cactus" and found this:
